Users are seeing a migration notice that says "The player you are viewing has migrated to Battlegrounds Mobile India." The report says that the data transfer prompt is similar to the one seen during PUBG Mobile-BGMI data transfer.
But guys specially, BGMI has not released any official statement regarding this. If the data transfer reports are indeed true, it means that the BGMI ban by India may be lifted soon. The report states that this news has resulted in a large number of unbanned dates being circulated. "All this speculation gained momentum when many fans encountered an 'Account Migration' prompt when searching for a specific Player ID in BGMI," it says.
When was BGMI banned?
On July 28, 2022, Alphabet Inc's Google and Apple removed the Crafton game, citing Indian government orders. The government banned the royal battle-ground format game, using a section of the IT law in force from 2020 to ban Chinese apps over national security and data sharing concerns. Under a similar provision of IT laws, the Indian government has banned over 100 Chinese apps since 2020, including Chinese publisher Tencent Games' PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG).
How will BGMI come in India
BGMI is the Indian version of Tencent's PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) which is already banned in the country. The Crafton game was relaunched as BGMI in India a year ago to the huge demands of the gamers. Like PUBG and BGMI, New State for Indian gamers, Garena also launched Garena Free Fire Max after the ban on Garena Free Fire.
